Strength & Courage: Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors DVD
Strength & Courage: Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors is much more than an exercise program. It’s a key element in any breast cancer survivor’s complete recovery.
The DVD contains exercises to help breast cancer survivors regain upper body strength and flexibility and improve posture, plus a section on aerobic conditioning. By following the guidelines and practicing the exercises on a regular basis, breast cancer survivors not only improve their strength and range of motion, they also boost their confidence and regain control of their personal health and wellness.
The exercises in Strength & Courage: Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors are demonstrated by breast cancer survivors and led by Kathy Johnson, a certified physical therapist, and Janette Poppenberg, an American College of Sports Medicine-Certified Health Fitness Specialist®. Peggy Finnegan, a Pittsburgh news anchor and breast cancer survivor, is the moderator. Dr. Adam Brufsky, a medical oncologist and co-director of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Breast Cancer Program, explains how medical research supports the importance of exercise for breast cancer survivors.
